Sculpture at Evergreen 6: Simultaneous Presence
Takes place on September 26, 2010
MAY 2, 2010 - SEPTEMBER 26, 2010
Guest curators: Jennie Fleming and Ronit Eisenbach
The sixth biennial installment in the Sculpture at Evergreen exhibition series features 10 new site-specific, temporary outdoor sculptures that are both inspired by and created specifically for Evergreen Museum & Library. Situated on 26 acres, Evergreen’s tranquil but urban setting allows viewers to wander the estate at their own pace to seek out the new sculptures and in doing so learn more about the property’s landscape, architecture, history, and collections.
The exhibition and its accompanying publication are made possible by the Evergreen House Foundation and the Municipal Arts Society of Baltimore. Additional funding is provided by the Hecht-Levi Foundation, Cindy and Tom Kelly, the Maryland State Arts Council, Jane and Worth Daniels, Joan I. Fabry and Michael Klein, and other generous contributors.
